Wounded in La Touques on the 22nd of August 1944 (deceased ont the 24th of August 1944)
Buried in Antwerpen (Schoonselhof) (1947)
Citation : "Officier très courageux, s'est dépensé sans compter pour assurer les liaisons de son unité et diriger la détection des mines. Blessé très grièvement à Touques, le 22 août 1944. Mort des suites de ses blessures".
On the 22nd August 1944, the 2nd Company is positioned in front of the river Touques and is receiving enemy mortar fire. During which the Signals Platoon Leader Lieutenant (Benjamin Pinkous) and two other soldiers were wounded. (Benjamin Pinkous) later died of his wounds on the 24thAugust 1944
